Personality tests are everywhere on the internet. What kind of cheese would you be? Etc. We won’t be diving deep into those types of tests in this post.
Although some people may be sceptical about personality tests, there are a few that are highly recognized and can be very beneficial to take. A common reason why people may be sceptical is because they do not believe in putting people in “boxes.” Of course, there are many factors that go into why a person is the way that they are and one personality test will never give us all of the answers. Personality test results shouldn’t be used as law or judgment, they should be used in conjunction with common sense. Obviously, not every single person with the same test result is the exact same. Use these tests as a rough guideline into who a person is, but never put them in a “box.”
One more thing to add into the mix is that our personalities tend to change over time, especially after influential events. Think of who you were at 16 vs. who you are now. You may have some core similarities, but odds are you are totally different. I recommend taking personality tests somewhat regularly as the results will change as you change.
The personality tests that are commonly recognized that I love are:
LOVE LANGUAGE
This test is used for romantic, platonic, workplace, and family relationships. There are 5 love languages: Quality Time, Physical Touch, Acts of Service, Words of Affirmation, and Gifts. Based on your answers, the test determines a percentage score for each of the love languages.
I commonly ask those in my life if they know their love languages because it helps my relationship with them tremendously. It allows me to recognize when they are showing love, even if it isn’t necessarily how I give or receive love. I highly recommend knowing your love languages so you are able to share them with others. My top 3 love languages: Quality Time, Acts of Service, Words of Affirmation. This does not mean that I cannot have a relationship with people who have different love languages than I do. For example:
Friend #1: Regularly surprises me with gifts that reminded her of me & she also hugs me / sits close to me when we are together. (Love Languages: Gifts & Physical Touch)
Friend #2: Constantly present / in the moment when we spend time together & helps me run errands with me when I’m stressed out. (Love Languages: Quality Time & Acts of Service)
As you can see, friend #1 has different top love languages than I do. Does this mean that friend #1 loves me less than friend #2? Absolutely not! Often, we can feel unloved by someone if they do not show love in the same way that we do. Therefore, both friend #1 and I may be feeling unloved or unappreciated in the relationship due to having different love languages. However, once you are aware that people give/receive love in different ways, you are more capable of recognizing the love that people are showing you. Upon learning both friends’ love languages, this just means that maybe I show friend #1 more love by incorporating gifts and physical touch. I would also communicate my love languages and hopefully in result, she will show more love by incorporating my love languages. From there, we both are able understand each other more and develop a more fulfilling relationship.

MEYER’S BRIGGS
The test is commonly used in the workplace. This test can provide supervisors and coworkers more understanding on an employee’s personality type, strengths, and preferences. There are 16 different personality types. Introverted vs. Extroverted | Observant vs. Intuitive | Thinking vs. Feeling | Prospecting vs. Judging. I’ve personally found knowing these results in personal friendships of mine. For example: I was venting to a friend not too long ago and I didn’t feel *heard*. She was so frustrating and it made me feel defeated. I took a step back and realized that she is a “thinker” and I’m a “feeler.” OF COURSE, that was why she wasn’t listening to how I felt and instead giving me logical “thinking” answers. This helped me realize that we are wired differently and she WASN’T coming from a negative way. That’s just how she processes those specific scenarios. This has saved me SO much energy. REMEMBER: To take this test fairly often because we do change.
My results: ESFP (Entertainer) – Extroverted, Observant, Feeling, Prospecting

Horoscope Birth Chart
I put this in the “fun category” as a lot of people are often unopen to truly learning about the study and history behind it. There is SO much depth and it has been studied for centuries. I could go on about this for ages, but I will keep it very simple instead. If there’s one piece of information that I give you, it is that people’s personalities are influenced by A LOT more than just their astrological sun sign. The only information you need is your birthdate, place of birth, and time of birth if you have it (for a more accurate reading).
My Major 3 Signs: Leo Sun, Capricorn Moon, Libra Rising
